Help us develop new emotional support for parents
OnePlusOne are seeking the views of separated parents to help develop a new resource aimed at dealing with the emotional aspects of separation.
We are working to develop a free online resource to help separated parents determine how ready they are to communicate with their ex and make childcare arrangements.
We know from research that people go through a range of intense emotions following a separation or divorce, particularly in the first few years. These powerful feelings can get in the way of making practical arrangements and may even present a barrier to making childcare plans.
We are planning to create an online ‘Emotional Readiness Tool’ to help guide separated parents towards the next step in communicating effectively with the child’s other parent, whether that’s creating a parenting plan, going into mediation, or something else. The tool will also suggest other forms of support for those who are not yet ready to enter into discussion.
Along with researchers from The University of Sheffield, we have put together an online questionnaire to help us identify the most important areas of support. Your answers will be anonymous and private and could help other parents get through a very difficult time.
The survey will be live until [2pm on Wednesday 17th June]* and we want to hear from as many separated parents as possible to make sure we are offering the right support to those who need it.
We are offering all respondents a chance to enter into a prize draw to win a £50 Amazon voucher. Click here to take part in the questionnaire.
*We are still interested in hearing from separated parents and are offering a further chance to win a £50 Amazon Voucher. The draw will be made after 2pm on 1st of July.
