My ex had taken me to court as despite him having our children every other weekend he is now saying he wants them to stay overnight during the week . It is so selfish as it will just disrupt the children .
Had a sleepness night last night as court day was today ! Hoping it would be sorted but the Judge told us to consider mediation and to go on some Parenitng Course called Separated parenting Programme .
I am so angry as I am a good Mum and do not think I need to be told how to look after my children . It seems I have to go on it anyway but just wondered has anyone been on one ? Do they listen to what you say and then take it back to the Judge so he can make a decision ? Was it helpful ... any information would be appreciated .

I went (REALLY didn't want to) and they said they'd only tell the judge if we turned up or not. The funny thing was we were all saying how bad our exes were, so maybe everyone thinks the same aobut their ex. There was a guy there who kind of took my ex's side when I talked about something (I'm not gonnna try to explain the whole story, takes too long) but it was ok and I know what he meant - but he was much less of an arse than my ex! I've stayed in touch with him and a couple of others. It's ok, it's 4 hours of your life.
