After Separation

Hello
My ex left before our son was 2 and is marrying the person he left me for sometime this year

I recently agreed that he could see our son every weekend for 4 weeks only

Now he has said every other weekend and that is what I wanted in first place

We have agreed but when he brought our son home to my last night he said I will collect him on Sunday
I said no as this is my weekend
Unsure what to do now as can't afford solicitor

I'm sorry to hear that you and your ex have run into problems over your son spending time with him. It sounds like there's been some confusion about what's been agreed between you. Can you talk to him about this and find out why he has changed his mind about what he suggested? (It needs to be approached calmly, acknowledging that you may have got your wires crossed maybe?)
If you think that talking it through together is going to be difficult, you may want to think about contacting your local mediation service. It's not free but it would be a lot more affordable than going to a solicitor. Here's a link to an article with some more information:

Sounds like you feel you have to do this on your own as you're not in a position to pay for help. So, if you're clear that you had agreed with your ex that you would move to an alternate week end regime, then you may feel you are free to make other plans and not be around when your ex calls to collect your son. Does that sound feasible? (Obviously you would want to avoid a flare up in front of your son)

He is not agreeing with anything I say
I have tried to say every other weekend but he says he can't do with seeing his son for two weeks
