Hi Parents,

My names Amy and I am a postgraduate researcher at the University of Birmingham, undertaking research into how children with separated parents make and experience home in two places.

Shared parenting arrangements in post-separation families are becoming increasingly common. This means that more and more children within the UK are living between two homes. However, there is very little research into this issue. Therefore, I am looking for children between the ages of 9-16, who live between their parents homes (if only for a few days a month) to talk to about their experiences of having two homes.

Children will either use a camera they have access to, or will be given a camera, to take photos of the things that are most important to them, and the things that they do in both of their houses that make them feel at home. These will then be used as prompts for a discussion, conducted at one of the children's homes.

The project has been approved by the University ethics committee and all information will be treated as private and confidential and all personal information anonymised.

If you would like more information or are interested in participating please comment below, or contact me directly at: 07419 776727 , alw776@student.bham.ac.uk

Thank you for your time,
Amy Walker
